I have a vaio AW-11S (UK model) with:
    - P8400 cpu
    - 4GB RAM (64-bit Win7)
    - And upgraded to 7200rpm WD3200BEKT HDD

I do a lot of video editing (After Effects, Vegas, HD formats) so I'm always looking for a faster system.

    My upgrade options are:
    - T9900 cpu (will it work?)
    - SSD drive
    - memory

When I'm rendering, my RAM doesn't seem maxed out. I've read several forum posts about SSD and video editing and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

So it seems to me upgrading the CPU is the way to go. The CPU does most of the work when rendering and the T9900 should give me a 1/3 speed increase over the P8400?

What do you guys think? And can anybody tell me if the T9900 will work without a problem?
