I've had a problem with my Asus A6KM-Q013H laptop, the audio. Even if I put my audio to max (FN Keys/Volume Control) the audio is crappy.

Well I found the solution (without using external speakers), and it's actually SO simple. I've posted a thread before asking for help but no one could give me the info I wanted.

    Click on START, CONTROL PANEL
    Double-click SOUND EFFECT MANAGER
    Click on the EQUALIZER TAB
    Click on the POWERFUL TAB
    Click OK

Whallah! I instantly heard the difference! Give it a try and tell me if it helped you out.

    Cheers mates! :)

Playing with the equalizer helps increasing the sound, BUT...

It consumes processor power and slows the laptop a bit!

The same thing is true for the W7J or any laptop that has an equalizer. It also works by putting all the freqencies to high on the MediaPlayer equalizer.

I've done this on planes through headphones to boost the sound a bit on DVDs.

    Gotta love Realtek HD Audio!

I love the equalizer settings in their, and for a Duo Core the extra processing power it consumes will be nothing!

That will only cause almost any modern recording to clip and thereby significantly degrade the audio quality.
