I need to pick up a 10" VGA cable to run my 23" external monitor and found this on Amazon. Decent price and mentions double insulated,
but is VGA, not SVGA. Does it matter? I've never been a fan of the whole over priced interconnects for audio equipment deal, but know nothing about computer video cables.
Thanks

While a standard VGA cable will work fine, here is a 10' SVGA cable that's cheaper even when shipping is included. I've always ordered from Monoprice with the cheapest shipping option (3-4 business days) and even going from California to Illinois, all my orders arrived in 2-3 business days. Monoprice is a reputable company that sells good products at dirt-cheap prices.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck.

When dealing with analogue the quality of the cable absolutely positively makes a difference. But that doesn't' mean that all the expressive cables are better. They can, in fact, be no better or worse (Some times you pay more just for the name--consider Monster cable.)
If I were you, I'd get the SVGA (which is what I have) since it typically is lighter and only costs a few extra dollars and theoretically will get you the maximum quality VGA can offer. Which is pretty good actually.
The digitals just have higher limits with less aberrations but only when properly optioned with peripherals that can show it. -
I ordered a SVGA from Monoprice...cable was only $3.29, but shipping was $5.90, LOL! Looking forward to hooking my 23" Ultrasharp to my desktop up in place of my old 19" CRT, which was starting to fade.
