    Hi.

I am unable to get my VGA to work. I tried a friends lappy and it worked so it is not my settings on the TV or the VGA cable.

i tried to update the video drivers and it said no updates available.

when i go to control panel>display>settings there is a grayed out area that says:

use this device as the primary monitor.

i cannot change it. i dont know if that is the issue or not.

    please help.

    thank you for the space!

What happens when you hold the Fn key down, then press function key (F8?) that directs video output to your laptop's screen, an external monitor, or both?
