Hello. I was trying to hook up my new Insprion e1705 to my 50" Panasonic DLP. I have done this numerous times with other various computers however when I tried to do it with this laptop it won't work. Nothing happens at all. I push Function F8 and the little window that shows you which source the display is comes up but nothing will show on the T.V. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Do you have to set to a special channel for VGA on your 50" Panasonic DLP? (Like the old days, channel 3 for VCR?) Also, try right clicking on the desktop and go to properties > Settings > Display set to Multiple Monitors and use Identify to see which is which. Then go to advanced to change the set up and fine tune the technical aspect.
