My audigy notebook is hissing and popping, with a great deal of distortion...

at this point i know its not the following

shared irqs with the usb - i disabled the usb and it still did it

    onchip sound is disabled

it could be the pcmcia driver (its a generic windows one) but thats the one sony uses and they dont have another driver i can use

creative blames sony so that doesnt help me out

i dont want to buy a audigy nx cause the audigy notebook looks awesome

i have used the latest drivers and such but i like keeping treble high and it goes ape on me when playing my tunes and shooting in call of duty 2 i get pops and it sounds like im playing underwater (no its no the eax console)

please help thanks in advance any of u s460 users out there
