Hello,
I have just updated my VAIO VPCEB2S1E with 2x 4GB crucial DDR3L 1600mhz memory SN: CT51264BF160BJ
The original memory is Kingston 2x2GB SNY1333D3S9DR8/2G
The PC will not boot into Windows 10 showing a BSOD "Kernel security check".
BIOS does see 8192MB installed.
When trying to use MemTest86 to test the new memory the PC restarts as shown in the following video.
Any ideas on how to get it working?
Thank you!

Your original sticks are DDR3, not DDR3L, and the Arrandale CPU's that that model uses only officially support DDR3, and not DDR3L.

I have noticed that crucial says that DDR3L memory is compatible with my model. Based on this i purchased the memory.

After contacting them they told me that an issue may be that the memory i bought (CT51264BF160BJ) is a high density one. Upon further reading online i found out that there should be no differences between high and low density memory.
I am sort of out of options. -
I wouldn't run DDR3L memory on that system, because of the voltage differences, DDR3 runs at 1.5v, and DDR3L runs at 1.35v, I would try with DDR3 sticks, and not DDR3L.
What they call high density is that it uses 8 chips(4 on each side), older systems might be happier with low density sticks(those have 16 chips, 8 on each side).alexhawker likes this.
