Hey guys. Apparently, I just recently recieved a Velocity Micro Magix x25, and after using it for about 5 hours, it just shut itself off. I tried to press the reboot button five times; however, it will not turn itself back on. The power cord was connected to the computer, and the battery was in it too. There was a fan underneath, but it was still pretty hot. After it cooled down, I still tried to press the power button, but to no avail.

    Solutions guys???

    Wow that really sucks.
We will need more information, like the model number and specs.
If the system overheated after only 5 hours of use, than the thing is defective and should be replaced by velocity micro for free.

Do you get any beep codes from the system?
    Does the bios boot?
Do the capslock, numlock and any other indicator lights flash?

If you can answer these, we can get you on track and find out what has went wrong.

You can try to clear the cmos by removing the ac power, battery and the bios battery from the system. That will cut the power to the board and reset the bios. If that doesnt work than you will have to try more things.

Try removing the memory from the system. If you get a beep that is good. If no beeps than your motherboard is toast.
Try using one memory card at a time and booting. The problem may be related to one memory card being corrupt.

Try to tell us as much as you can so that we can help you.
