Well, I got a new desktop and got a small problem. I know it's laptopforum, but it's kind of urgent and desktopreview is less active. Plus I like this forum more :D

Anyway, new desktop, without preinstalled OS. When I turn power off, it loads some screen where I have like 5 sec to go into bios, then it loads black screnn with the list of some kind of PCI's or whatver that was and at the bottom it says Verifying DMI Pool data.

Now how do I install the OS?

I tried to install the first boot device as CDrom and out my OS dvd in. It went through Preparing..... then showed that blue Windows background... and that's it. no optin to install anything. Nothing. Just nice screen saver. Affter like 4 min I tuned it off and now wondering what to do...

Nevermind. Got overexcited and overworried. Just had to give it time.

There seems to be a lot of people that feel that DesktopReview is not active and thus that is why they post their desktop related questions here at NBR. The fact is, if everyone who posted their desktop questions at NBR did it at DesktopReview instead, then DesktopReview wouldn't be less active, no?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that you got your desktop OS install working, but threads like this just clog up the NBR forums.
