If it is like most other laptops, the answer to your first question is none. The second answer is nearly impossible.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

Why is it that nobody bothers to actually do any research for themselves before asking these questions. The sticky entitled:

"Upgrading mobile video cards- read before posting"

    Explains most everything.

Why don't you let us know how that works out for you then. Besides, upgrading from a 16 mb card to a 32 mb card you can't even buy anymore is hardly an upgrade. That si presuming he has a compatible mobo, which isn't necessarily the case.

Yes, technically it is possible. bottleg2go made a valid point, there is actually no video upgrade at a sensible price.

It does say on that website that you need to pay $700 or something. You can buy a cheap Inspiron for that price with a Celeron CPU and a GMA GPU, which is effect IS a graphics card upgrade.

Maybe someone like you would pay $700 for that upgrade, but I'ts really not worth it. Even upgrading to a 6150 Go integrated chip, youll probably end up having a new motherboard fitted, and you need to take apart the LCD, Bezel, the whole lower chassis, and the fans and heatsinks, which is silly. You may as well buy a new notebook.
