I have recently been having video problems on my laptop running vista. The audio and video do not want to stay synced and the video keeps lagging out during playback. It does this for videos/movies on my internal hdd, external hdd, and some larger videos on the internet. I know its not the internet because im using a university connection so its fast. My laptop has a 1.6 Ghz Core Duo processor, running both cores, and 4GB of RAM. I believe the graphics card is an intel 945 chipset with media accelerator. A computer that is relativly new like mine should have no problem playing video. Any help on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What codecs are installed? The issue might be with those.

Try downloading VLC, if that cant play it nothing will.
You may have to give reinstalling the video drivers a whirl, cause it seems as if there are conflicting drivers on your system.
