I have a dell studio 1555 (built in intel gma)
I very much would like to purchase the Vidock (or something simliar) so I can play Starcraft 2 and Star Wars The Old Republic MMO
Seems like this is my only graphics upgrade option but it appears like this is no longer being sold. I found some on ebay used. Can someone tell me whats going on. Will it work with my laptop?
Some help would be appreciated.

See http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...18851-diy-vidock-experiences.html#post5324240. Dell Studio 15 can do a x2 link using mPCIe+expresscard slots port3+port4 with a PE4H. If you have an original ViDock then I believe you are limited to 12V/72W operation, meaning a HD4670 or a HD5670 is the maximum performance card you can install.

Google shows a few online retailers that carry it (Sewell Direct and MacMall, although Sewell just sells the case with no graphics card), and you could probably try contacting XoticPC, which sells it as an optional accessory to many of their notebook systems. I don't know enough about it to tell you whether or not it would work with your system, though.

ViDock Homepage: ViDock 2: High Performance Dual Display Notebook Expansion
It has a page that lists where you can purchase it. You'll need an ExpressCard 34 port and an external monitor in order to use this.
