I have a 200 GB Maxtor Personal Storage 3100. A few years old.
When I try to use it with Vista, I get a message saying the device has malfunctioned or something. It shows up in Device Manager as Unknown Device under USB Controllers, and has no drivers associated with it.
It works perfectly on my XP machine. Is this a driver issue? I've looked around, and can't find anything. Am I doomed?
I would hate to have to backup 120 GB of stuff onto DVD or something.

When I tray to make a call it gives me next mesage - sound device problems are preventing this call, tried reinstaling audio drivers and sound card drivers.
Please help. -
