This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Voiding warranty

    Will upgrading RAM and/or a hard drive typically void the standard warranty? I'd be buying custom direct from HP...

    Nope, HP does not care if you upgrade the RAM/HDD, doesn't void your warranty. When I had my HP, I did it, called them beforehand - they said it was fine. ;)

    You can even do the optical drive if needed. The warranty obviously won't cover the new parts.
