Often times (always when rebooting) the WD 320GB drive in my T500 will make a noise that is basically one beep followed immediately by one click....beep-click. Half the time it only does this once, but other times it will do it three times.

Anyone else seen this behavior? It's happened with both Windows 7 and Linux, though it is right before post, so I doubt either has anything to do with it.

Yeah, I installed one of those in my T61 and it does the same thing it beeps very weirdly when rebooting Windows 7 beta, replaced with the stock silent 80GB and put the Black on a USB enclosure, I hate noisy drives (whooshing sound) and also it clicked, still on the USB enclosure.
