I need to RMA this hardrive as the internal sector was corrupted and now after tweaking around It shows up finally but I can't write anything to the drive. I was wondering what the method for RMA is, as this hardrive is still under WD's warranty.

Same as their hard drives. Go to the warranty/RMA section of WD's website, input your serial number, and go through the options.

You can choose a cross-shipping option, but you'll have a certain amount of time--I forget the exact number--to send them your defective drive, otherwise they charge you.

Call up or email WD for an RMA.

If I remember right, you verify your serial and warranty eligibility. Then you pick what replacement option you want. Then you get your RMA number. If you do advance replacement you have to give them a credit card number.

After getting the RMA number, you pack the HDD in securely and put the shipping postage (at your own expense, by the way) onto the box. Also have to write the RMA number all over the box, too. After that, send it out.
