I like my WD Passport drive, but don't care for the fact that you *have* to use their browser to get access to files. I just want to synchronize without encrypting so I can just access my drive directly. Is there a way to disable this or other simple to use software like WD Sync that will let me do this?

I know I can just drag and drop, but I want it to only update files that have changed or are new, not copy everything over every time.

    Thanks for any help!

Found this software - file synchronizer 3.2 - and its freeware.

Basic synchronization, but it works great.

You have to install it, but if you just copy the directory to your portable drive, it will still run fine from any other machine. And it's less than 4MB in size.

Great little app. I don't know why WD Sync forces you to encrypt and compress. If they had an option to disable that it'd do the trick - best of both worlds. Maybe in a future update, I'll send the suggestion to WD.

I use Alllway Sync for file transfer between my laptop and flash drives/WD Passport. It works great. The free version works fine although I purchased the Pro version to support the project.
