Hi,
I am using Dell M1330, Win 7, with Seagate Seagate Momentus 7200.2 120GB 7.2K, 3.0 GB RAM.
I am processing 12-megapixel RAW files from digital cameras using Adobe Lightroom. I feel my current hard drive is the bottleneck. I heard the larger capacity drives are faster. I will be upgrading to 4gb RAM to make sure the dual-channel mode is active.
I have narrowed my choice to the following. I am favoring the WD as I hear it is faster overall(smaller files) while the Seagate is good with big files but slower overall.
However, since I am using photoshop also(big files) I wonder if Seagate is better.
Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM
Seagate Momentus 7200.3 ST9320421AS 320GB 7200 RPM 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive (Bare drive) - OEM
Please help. I need to order this week.
Thanks.

WD3200BEKT is better than the 7200.3
The Hitachi 7K320 isnt bad either. Its a tad slower than the Western digital, but it is usually substantially cheaper
