For $20 more, no, it is not worth it. The Intel cards are very good to excellent in my experience (though I don't have specific experience with the M.2 models yet).

If by any chance you will run Linux on your PC, stay away from Killer. I'd just go with Intel if I were you.

Performance is the same. Just go with the cheaper one.

There have been questions raised and people are getting lag spikes with the Intel cards but not the KIller ones.. However if you do use Linux, you have no choice but to use Intel.. I would say that if not using Linux, get the Killer as it will work properly for sure unlike Intel..

Based on what evidence?? And since no one here knows what kinda system the OP is getting stating one or the other is pretty dubious to say the least. Also board makers can also limit wifi because of chipset not the whitelisting they used to do as well.

It will be a windows. A heard something about the ping also but wat I was kinda worried was about the distances. I saw a benchmark that stated intel was faster when near the router but the greater the distance, the killer would perform better. Though I dont know how big this difference is really.

also, any specific good router to go with any of this? im looking for a good range

HT had ping spikes and other problems with the 7265ac in the laptops he reviewed while the Killer cards had 0 problems.. Few others have also had this problem with 7265.. The 7265 is much better then the 7260 when it comes to this but it's really hit and miss.. When your'e spending so much on a laptop, spending $20 more to make it perfect is downright stupid..

    I'd suggest the Asus RT-AC68U
