ok i was looking on ebay i love alienwear cases i want to build my own alienwear laptop I had found a few alienwear cases on ebay How do i know what Laptop mobo to buy and such, I mean with a desk tops i just buy any old Mobo and mount it in to a ATX case. I asume its alot different for Laptops due to the design of the port holes and such. I wanted to build a nice 15.4 inch laptop i really didnt need that strong of a CPU but i did want to make sure i did get a nice video card in it.

i keep seeing things about Clevo mobo's in alienwear laptops? could someone please point me in the proper direction. Ive always built my own desktops. Id like to make my own Laptop. I always feel like i have a better mechine when i build it my self. Thus allowing me to know exactly what's inside the mechine.

    thnx

In short, while it is possible to do what you are asking, you cannot configure your laptop that much. In almost all cases when you base the laptop chasis, it will come with a motherboard. So you cannot pick and choose as much as youd think. Take the M17(aka OCZ whitebook). You can buy the chasis, which comes with a motherboard, and you can configure the wireless card, hard drives, whether you want one or two 3870 graphics cards, and which processor you want and also the what DDR3 SODimm ram you want. But you cannot put the motherboard from the M17x in the M17, as the laptop is different and it wont physically fit in it. I hope this makes sense.
