I've been wanting to make use of the WWAN socket in my HP Probook 6460b for something other than a WWAN card. Maybe add an SD card adapter, or a non-bluetooth mouse receiver. But some casual research indicates that the WWAN socket may be whitelisted to only accept HP branded WWAN cards. Will this impact the ability to use other micro PCIe devices, like a micro SD card reader?

@imrazor WWAN modems are USB devices. so USB part of the slot is definitely whitelisted, regardless of device used. pcie lanes may not even be wired to this slot - but if they're wired, some pcie device may work. Best way to counter whitelest is flashing modded BIOS with whitelist removed, if it's not available you're most likely out of luck.
