This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I plan on ordering a C2D, RAM, and HDD from newegg and the Asus z96j barebones from mwave.com Do you think there will be any savings to be found after Xmas? I saw a similar thread, but it wasn't referring to oem parts.

    Yes, if you wait, the current generation of tech tends to become cheaper. I have seen some resellers lower the Z96j barebones prices incrementally, although I don't know if ASUS has or if this is reseller specific.
