I just got an HP dv6000z and want to upgrade from 1GB to 2GB, but am unsure of what company to go with and when to buy it. Now that AMD systems use DDR2, I assume that SODIMMs of that will become more common and maybe come down in price. Does anybody have opinions on that or know of any upcoming price drops that will affect PC4200 DDR2?

Corsair, Transcend, Kingston, is all good RAM.

I doubt prices will drop much.

The brand name doesn't really matter and pc4200 has already price dropped because of pc 5400 and 5300. So, like patriot said, prices will probably remain level in the near future.
