    Warranty on a drive purchased through NewEgg?

    Let's just suppose I purchased a new, bigger hard drive from them...does it have the full 3 year Hitachi or 5 year Seagate warranty? Just checking...

    if it is in the retail box yes...oem bare drive probably not.

    It usually says what the warranty is. You can look it up on their sites.

    I cannot find any reference to how they handle OEM parts...so they probably don't care about the difference. Probably...but it would be real nice to see the words "3 Year Warranty" written on NewEgg's page. :confused:
