Is there a card I can insert into my VAIO to watch TV? Is watching TV this way free?

you are looking for a tv tuner. Their are expresscard, pcmcia and internal mini pci and minipcie tv tuners, which you can use in your laptop. Watching tv is free and perfectly legal, as long as you are using the tv from your home. You may need a tv splitter to connect your laptop to the composite tv line, so if you do not have a free composite cable, you will need to get a splitter.
These tv tuners can cost from $60 -120 or so, but please give us the model of your laptop, so that we can determine what interface your laptop has, so you get the right tv tuner.
