I have a refurbished Dell D430 Latitude. I love it; it's light, compact, and has lots of nice features ... except for a built-in webcam. Now I never thought this was important, and maybe it still isn't, but boy it would be great to somehow get a webcam into this thing.

Has anyone heard of someone modding a laptop's LCD to put in a webcam? For some reason I think it'd be possible - dremel a little hole in the lid, take apart any off-the-shelf webcam and connect it to the USB pins on the mobo.

If someone can suggest a website, or a place to get more information please let me know.

    Thanks.

Wow. That is awesome. Too bad the eee pc has a webcam already installed, so there's no tricks to installing one.

But all those other possibilities are amazing.
