Ok. I just recived my HP dv9700t a few hours ago. There is no "Webcam Center" and nothing detects my webcam. I went to the HP website and got the driver i thought i needed. But still nothing is detected. Can someone please help me? Thank You in Advance.

Every integrated webcam is powered and controlled by a USB controller.
Reinstall your USB drivers, and the webcam should be picked up.
I know I had driver issues with Vista and my webcam. With XP it works fine.
You can go to the control panel, and click "add new hardware." Your computer will be scanned for every peripheral connected, and hopefully it picks up your webcam.
I hope this helps

Can you actually see the webcam device on the device manager?
You just need to use the Acer Crystal Eye drivers. The HP drivers are seriously retarded -
I did add hardware, but nothing. it is in device manager and says working properly. But still it doesnt work. What do i do now? I gues ill look for that acer driver. thanks

Installed The Acer software, but it doesnt work. Now What?

are you sure u installed it properly? u dont just run the .exe installer and restart
if it doesnt work then your webcams manufacturer isnt by Chicony
probably by Ricoh -
My webcam is made by ORION, but its a 5mp. its a bit different. Its a custom add-in.
Try reinstalling the drivers again, Vista sometimes loves to throw in its moments
