Every integrated webcam is powered and controlled by a USB controller.
Reinstall your USB drivers, and the webcam should be picked up.

I know I had driver issues with Vista and my webcam. With XP it works fine.

You can go to the control panel, and click "add new hardware." Your computer will be scanned for every peripheral connected, and hopefully it picks up your webcam.

    I hope this helps

Can you actually see the webcam device on the device manager?

You just need to use the Acer Crystal Eye drivers. The HP drivers are seriously retarded

are you sure u installed it properly? u dont just run the .exe installer and restart

if it doesnt work then your webcams manufacturer isnt by Chicony

    probably by Ricoh

My webcam is made by ORION, but its a 5mp. its a bit different. Its a custom add-in.

Try reinstalling the drivers again, Vista sometimes loves to throw in its moments

the hp driver will make the webcam stop working again sooner or later and you need to restart to use the webcam again
