So, I've been having a coloured line flash across the screen once every few minutes.

However, on some websites (usually ones with a black background), this happens far more often.

However, only on my 2nd monitor.

I'm really hoping this is a driver issue and not a GPU problem. I just ordered some new thermal paste as my load temps are now frequently in the low 80s, which never used to be the case. Used a can of compressed air to blow out the dust and that helped a little. Really hoping my GPU hasn't taken too much abuse. Can't really afford a new laptop right now and was hoping to be able to resell mine for a fairly decent price...

Any ideas on what the issue could be or am I being overly hopeful? I'm installing an older video driver just to make sure.

EDIT: Totally a driver issue, this and the weird image loss I was suffering before has completely disappeared since the last few driver updates.

How is your monitor hooked up to your laptop? Does the issue occur if your laptop's running on battery?

I did two things - took out the battery, and rolled back to the last drivers Nvidia released (Beta ones from a few weeks before the latest official) and that seems to have worked.

Not sure which is the cause but I'm thankful.

The 2nd monitor is plugged in via HDMI - VGA.
