Anyone else going to upgrade their computers, feel regretful that they bought Merom, or just don't care?

I don't care.
-
It's not that big of an update, and like in most cases, it's not worth the money or effort to upgrade a notebook processor.
But, all the power to the people who do update. Drop me a line on performance, since I have to update the guide. -
I don't really care about the tiny performance increase, but if there's a significant increase in battery life, then I might regret my purchase.
-
For the laptop I could care less, but I will upgrade for my desktop.

I couldn't care less.

If it made a huge differences I'd consider it.. otherwise.. meh

My upgrade plans are pretty similar to yours (admlam). But I figure that is at least half a year off.
-
I don't really care.
New platform > New processor
I'll just wait for the Santa Rosa replacement. DDR3 RAM w00t. -
Me too. Montevina will kick ass
DDR-3
More battery saving features
and 25-30% smaller mobo = smaller, thinner notbooks -
First, you dont know that Penryn will be in Dell laptops before 1/31
Second, you dont know that it will be a option that is offered with that deal
Third, assuming that it is a option before 1/31 they could pull the deal before then.
So I say dont wait just my 2 cents worth...
Well.....only a few more hours until Penryn.
