Anyone got one of these? I got a 1.5TB drive. Performance is horrible on these drives. It starts out having relatively fast transfer (28MB/s USB2.0). Then after a while, it pauses, and immediately switches to lower transfer speed (~8MB/s). Overtime it drops down the a crawl (~500kb/s) and even hangs the OS. I am running linux. I tried on my older normal harddrives and theres no problem.

Duno if its time to RMA this thing. Anyone got one of these?

Green my arse, I have to leave the comp on longer to transfer files because this thing is so slow.

I have a Green Drive and it doesn't do that. It has steady transfer speeds of about 30-34Mb/s. Do you have the right chipset drivers and everything installed for Linux? Oh, and try posting this in the Linux Subforum. You'll probably get a lot more help there, a Mod can probably move it for you.
