ACK! VX Nano is no more? I love this mouse. I should buy a replacement in case this one breaks. Nothing has been better. I love the super tiny receiver that I can plug in and leave in. I love the size and number of buttons and placement, and overall feel.

Has something replaced the VX Nano? Is it better? I'm in panic state now to find a decent price on a VX Nano...

Hmmm, I just looked at that. I like the buttons on the side actually. One user review commented on lag in games, but I never noticed that with my VX Nano. Hope this new tech doesn't cause issues.

I'm using anywhere currently, and my wife's using vx nano :D
The only drawback on anywhere is the battery life's not as good as vx nano,
and with 2 AA batteries it's just too heavy, but I'm using it with just 1 AA which is great weight :D

No lag ever happens on mine... works great

Oh, you have option to use one or two AA? Or AAA?

I still might have to find a decent deal on a VX Nano. It's perfect in every way for me. 2 AAA batteries is light and with Energizer e2 I only have to change my batteries every several months.

I used the MX Anywhere for two months before the receiver broke on me and I had owned the VX nano before then.

I preferred the extra weight of the Anywhere over the nano, as well as the placement of the forward and back buttons and the scroll wheel action. The lower pricetag is the only thing that the nano has on the anywhere, IMO. The anywhere's darkfield tech is another bonus, as it allows you to use the mouse on just about any surface.

I couldnt use a mouse that requires 2AAs, adds too much weight. One batterys weight is significant.

    OP get this.

Thanks, but I need (or at least have become accustomed to) the two extra side buttons.

On the new version does the mouse-wheel act as a third mouse button or does it still do the on-the-fly adjustment for ratcheting or free-wheel motion? I love my Nano (Have two.) but I would really like a wheel that acts like a button as my gaming mice do. I would probably shop for a different brand laptop mouse because of it if it weren't for the tiny receiver.

VX nano is my favourite. I tried to buy another one for my newly built desktop but found it discontinued :( Had to buy darkfield instead, which is heavier.

it still acts as hyperscroll-wheel trigger.
anyway, you can set application switcher button to do middle click.

use 1 battery to make it lighter :)

Once have vx nano, but sent it logitech because it got problem..
Then they gave money back (about 80% of the price) and i add some cash to buy anywhere...
But imo, both of the mouse have their own 'feeling of use' and love both of them.. :)

Just a quick question; what's the deal with the weight...?
Aren't heavier mouses easier to control, as light mouses tend to slide everywhere.

I'd personally prefer something that isn't eclipsed by my hand, and about as heavy as a hole punch.

i used to use light mice and when i switched over to the vx nano, which uses 2 triple A batteries, making it heavy, the first thing i noticed was the weight, and i didn't like it... after using it for 2 years now, i realized.. light mice are MUCH better, definitely doesnt make it more difficult to control, they don't slide and i am certain that they are definitely easier to control

im now looking into wired mice because the batteries in wireless mice just make them much too heavy

    2 AAAs are not heavy.
    2 AAs,, now that's heavy.. that's why I'm using 1 AA in Anywhere :)
that and I can use the 2AAs one at a time for continuous use... no battery life problem here :D

yeah 2 aaa's arent heavy at all.
the nano vx is my fav accessory.
the only problem with them is some circuitry that when dropped can cause the batteries to drain much faster and is a potential fire hazard.
i had mine changed a few months back because of this and they gave me a new nano vx as a replacement.
others got the eventual successor (anywhere mouse?) but im happy they gave me the nano instead.

Looks like I'll have to pay the premium for a VX Nano then. Several months back Logitech had a dented box sale for something like $35. I should have bought one then.
