I'm considering buying a SAMSUNG Series 3 NP350V5C-T02US due to it's price, dedicated video card, and decent reviews.
Although I have 2 questions...
1. Is SAMSUNG known for making cheap laptops or having any sort of bad rep?
2. (the important question) I need hardware virtualization for running virtual machines. According to Intel the BGA socket has this, where the rPGA doesn't.
Is there any way to tell which socket this laptop has?

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Alot of CPU's now have a BGA or PGA option, it all really depends on the notebook. Thinner laptops will almost always have a BGA CPU, aka soldered on. Standard notebooks will almost always have PGA. Samsung is just new to the US market for computers compared to other companies like Dell, HP which are well established in the US. Samsung tend to have "cheaper" notebooks in terms of price. I personally haven't owned a Samsung notebook, but nothing really stands out in terms of unreliability. The only thing I don't like about Samsung is anything under warranty must be mailed to them for warranty repair, there are hardly any Samsung ASP (Authorized Service Providers).
