I bought a laptop the other day which I'm just getting used to now. The only thing I wasn't entirely pleased about (for the price) was the fact that it only had 1GB RAM, although apparently it has the room that makes putting another stick in possible. This is my laptop:

I fully intend to buy another 1GB of RAM for my notebook but I'm not sure what kind of memory to buy/which sticks are compatible with my system. I'm posting to ask if someone could explain to me which sticks are compatible with my system, and possibly point me to retailers who sell them. I've attached a pic of the bottom view of my laptop so you can see the compartments.
Thanks for reading.

You can't tell which ram you use (DDR or DDR2) just by looking at the bottom of the laptop. By the way, on the website you provided, it says your laptop uses DDR2, so if you want to upgrade your RAM, I'd suggest getting at least 2gb since the OS is Vista (3gb max for 32bit Vista).

Your laptop will run DDR2 PC5300 or PC4200 memory it does not matter which type. It will run at the 533mhz bus of the processor.

Thanks for your replies. You say I should get 2 1GB sticks, but are you sure I have room for two sticks in there?!
-
So get some PC5300 or PC5400 (They are pretty much the same thing). Yes, there will be two slots for ram, as I don't think I've ever seen a computer without two slots. Even back in the 286 days. If both slots are not in the bottom of the computer, then there is one that is under the keyboard. -
I mean ANOTHER two slots
as I've already got one taken. As in have I got 3 slots for 3 1GB sticks.
-
Your laptop as only 2 slot compartments for RAM.
Currently your ram configuration is either 2 x 512mb or 1 x 1gb
To upgrade to 2gb you'll need a 2 x 1gb config
For 3gb you'll need a (1 x 2gb) + (1 x 1gb) config. -
Righty then. Thanks for your replies guys, I think I'll get this:
