    What Should I know when deciding between C2D T7700, T8300, etc...

    I'm assuming that The higher the number, the more powerful it is. But how big are the differences between say a T9300 and a T8300?, are there any points in the series where they made a major increase in performance?

    Also, how much performance increase should I expect if the L2 Cache increases from 3 to 4, or 4 to 6MB?

    You should ask yourself to you really need that good of a processor?
    If you do heavy CPU intensive stuff and you can afford to get a T9300, then get it.
    And what is your current configuration? If you are getting a high end CPU, you should have lots of ram and a good graphics card to not hold you back.
