noi use my m17x for the moment bu t i get tired of moving it around when i go from the bedroom to the Den, so i am building a tiny little mini itx HTPC for the bedroom. i got a nice little gigabyte MB the supports LGA1156 cpus an i3 cpu for like $75, it has on board graphics with the i3 cpu so im gonna use the PCIe slot for a tv tuner,im pretty noob on tv tuners so im looking for some advice.

Ah, ok. Sounds like a cool project. Sorry I can't be of any help with the tuner. The only one I've ever used is a usb stick tuner, not PCIe.

go with happauge or blackmagic. their around 100-200. some are external some aren't but they work great in HD if your trying to go that way.

are you trying to hook up your tv or stream. i didn't read that in your thread or totally missed it

im not really sure, im not up on what they do and i haven't had time to really research it, i was under the impression that they received signals or i could hook up my cable to it. i prefer and Hd signal. so how do they work?
