What advantages does the T7100 processor (1.8Ghz, 2mb cache, 800fsb) have over the T5470 (1.6GHz, 2MB cache, 800fsb)?

u sure the T7100 is at 2mb cache?

Ok, it is at 2mb cache, but I think that the T7100 is better because of, WELL CHECK IT OUT UR SELF: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=135476 and yet even better http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=142812
-hope that helps -
I think T7200 and above all have 4MB L2. The T7100 is a little faster how much more does it cost? I would not pay more than $50 extra and that is a little more than it is worth for 200Mhz.

I think calling the T7100 is a bit of a marketing scam by intel. For my money it should be the T5670, the T7*** being reserved for the 4MB L2 cache models.

Not much, dont go for the upgrade

the T7100 does support Intel Dynamic Acceleration which I think the T5470 doesn't support. IDA shuts off one core when a single-threaded application is running and overclocks the other core. According to this site http://www.asisupport.com/tech_newsletter2.htm its overclocked by a additional 200mhz. So the T7100 could be 400mhz faster on single-threaded apps which is most apps that you will run.

The T5xx0 series runs on a 667MHz FSB, instead of the 800MHz FSB of the T7x00 series (where x is an odd number). In the real world, that FSB difference only accounts for something like a 1-3% increase in performance, so it's not a huge deal, but strictly speaking it is better. The T7x00 series is also able to dynamically change FSB speeds to reduce power usage.
What advantages does the T7100 have over T5470?
