Whether it's Sandy Bridge, or Fusion, or another platform, what are the features you are looking forward to the most?
For me, I just want USB 3.0 and SATA 6. SDXC card readers as standard would be nice too but not as important for me.
    What about you? :)

I'm really looking forward to the Fusion architecture because of the implications it has for the compute world (I'd love to get a hold of one for my Master's research next year).
I'd also like to see (over the next number of years) a transition away from CD/DVD drives (complete removal) and being replaced by fast USB sticks or SD cards as the new device media.

For me, nothing really sticks out in the next platform, though USB 3.0 is a nice boost over USB 2.0.

I am looking for 17" getting even lower prices w/also the Fusion and Intel killing the lower level graphic cards, as there will be no reason to produce them i hope and making the overall entry level much better in graphics.
The mediums like 5650 i hope will also get cheaper.

Lower power consumption, longer battery lives, thinner and lighter form factors... I'm disappointed that the i3/i5/i7 ULVs use more energy than their Core 2 counterparts... I want a device with Core 2 performance in 14" to 15" MacBook Air form factor with completely passive cooling and a 900p color e-ink screen. Something like that!

EDIT: And make it a convertible tablet while we're at it.

Faster sustained transfer speeds over USB, don't care about 3.0.

Intel already got "fusion" with H55/H57 unless you are talking about AMD and they are a few years late lol

I just wish they increased the speeds of the i5 and i7 chips. Who the hell wants a 1.6 quad core?

Ghz matter only in same CPU series. You can't compare. Only benchmarks tell the story.

Gaming laptops with decent cooling in a non-bulky package, with good battery life ofcourse.

Guess that's a bit too much to ask for though :p
