    I would say that the original poster's temperatures are a bit high.
    Have you tried undervolting or using a fan control program, they can seriously drop the running temperatures quite a bit.

    For undervolting, use Cpu Rightmark or Notebook Hardware Control
    for fan control, try I8kfangui (only works for dell laptops)

    I have a T5300 undercolted in my dell e1505, (fans are always forced to full speed) and under normal use it runs between 90F and 110F.
    Under full load for hours on end, it will run around 135-140F.
    GPU = ATi X1400, max temperature is around 128F
    Harddrive = Seagate 160gb 5400rpm runs around 105-110F under normal use, under load, runs around 125F.

    I have a 125watt power consuming AMD opteron 185 in my Voodoo laptop, (the fans are always forced to full speed)
    under normal use, the processor runs about 38-44C.
    under full load, the processor runs between 55 and 60C.
    GPU = nVidia Quadro FX2500M, normally runs about 44C under normal use.
    Under heavy gaming like Crysis and such, temperatures soar to about a peak of 65C.
    Harddrive = 2 x Hitachi 7k200 200gb 7200rpm drives, run about 95 - 105F under normal use, under load, runs around 123-127F.

    My GPU temps used to be at around 46~48C, but ever since I upgraded from 169.04 to 174.74, it never goes below 53C.

    Also, ambient temp is around 33~34C.
