Hi, everybody! Yesterday I bought this dual channel kit from MemoryC.com and in my opinion the results are impressive! I am highly recommend this ram to everyone who wants high clock speeds on low latency...take a look on picture below

Your FSB is OC'd...thats why your RAM clock is up aswell.
-
Just for the record: this is overclocking people...not proof that Intel mobile chipsets support 800MHz RAM.
There, now back to this thread... -
Yes, of course it is,before doing this I've had to reflash my SPD settings on both sticks to be recognized by mobo as CL5, otherwise is impossible to boot windows with CL4 on 835MHz..I think most of the chipsets today could hold 800MHz FSB even that's still not supported officially. Of course it highly depends on CPU capabilities. -
Nice OC how is heat?
-
, around 76-77c under full load..
-
Are you undervolting and have you applied thermal compound.
-
I am undervolted only; from 1.185 to 1.085 v. Thats all.
-
I'm considering getting this RAM myself. I heard it can run CL4 at DDR2 667 speeds, is it true?
-
Yes, it is true! On 667Mhz you can even get 3-4-4 timings or maybe 3-3-4. This RAM is deffenetely one of the best RAM for laptops ever.
-
How'd you change the timings?
-
I'm using memset.
-
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
They have a 15$ MIR from newegg now .
-
Already got som 5300 one last week, or I would've been all over it.
I'm just not sure how much good it does to OC the fsb for too long..(33% increase if I`m not mistaken...) -
very interesting... thanks for the info... now i need to by 2 X 2g sticks and chane the timings down to 3-4-4 or lower and see what happens
man i gotta get busy working so i can earn enough money to pay for the cool stuff i need -
Go, go, go...

How much performance do get by just swapping from CAS5 667MHz to CAS4 memory without overclocking. I am trying to find benchmarks to see the improvement but i cant find anything. Is it worth the money?
Thanks! -
Absolutely not worth.. is less than 0.5%...you'll never notice any improvement.
-
-
Were you running 2 gigs of RAM or 4 gigs of RAM before you installed those OCZ chips?
-
I had 2x1GB Kingston 667
-
Did you do a clean re-install of your OS after installing the new 4 GB chips?
-
No, you don't need do this when upgrading RAM.
-
what did you use to do the overclock? I was thinking of bumping the fsb up but keeping the cpu at stock with rm clock.
-
-
how did you overclock the FSB ?
P.S. Menus in Bulgarian look stupid :| -
clockgen, setFSB, memset
you will need to know your PLL chip if you wanna raise the FSB. This will also overclock the CPU
What can do OCZ 2X2GB PC6400 Kit...
