    HD : Hitachi 5k100 100GB (5400 RPM)
Burst under HD TUNE : max 50.6 MB/S

I found this to be far beyond expectations for a 5400 RPM HDD on a Core Duo with SATA config!
Tests from the web for the 5k100 usually show +70 MB/S burst rate.

My NHC configs are at max perf., no slowdown or noise reduction setuped on 5k100. What should I check first?
