    Hi all,

I was looking at upgrading my screen, and I want to know what exactly the differences are in screen numbers. I've searched around and can't find a guide anywhere, but for example:

A Samsung LTN154P1-L04 screen is available in matte and glossy. However, I was originally looking for the LTN154P1-L03.

    What is the difference?

    As far as I know:
    LTN denotes something manufacturer-ish
    154 indicates a 15.4" screen
    P1 is ???
    L04 is possibly the revision?

If anyone can confirm/recommend a compatible screen to this (or any good cheap CCFL 15.4" screen for an Asus G50vt) that'd be awesome.

    Thanks!

That depends on the manufacturer, and each manufacturer will use different notations for their screens. You'll probably have to try to find datasheets for the screens you're trying to compare to figure out the differences, or perhaps ask in the Asus subforum about compatible screens for an Asus G50VT.
