What do you think? Should I make the jump to MXM-A?

Well my machine is pretty much at it's limit. You can't get the HD 4670 MXM II to save your life.

Now I have the opertunity to move to the 5935g.

One thing I am worried about is the lack of access to the CPU and GFX card. They are there but you have to take the motherboard out to get to it:

The machine I can get for a good price comes with a T6600, 3GB of ram, 320gb HDD and radeon HD 4670.

By upgrading I would gain the HD 4670, it would be MXM-A and I could slot my componants in there that are better and end up with:

    P8700
    4GB DDR3
    40GB SSD
    48GB Expresscard SSD
    HD 4670

I could put some of my current stuff into my current machine and it would look like this:

    P7350
    3GB DDR3
    320GB HDD
    HD 4650 DDR2

How much do you reckon it's worth like that? While it's been used the only real damage or wear is a scrape on the plastic near the security lock.

    Worth the hastle?

If it's MXM-3.0A, I'd avoid it. MXM-3.0A is the smaller of the new formats (the larger being the MXM-3.0B), and even though they use the same connector, the lack of space may mean that a MXM-3.0B card might not fit, so if you're looking for the higher end cards, you're better off finding one that fits MXM-3.0B, and not A.

Oh, I misunderstood, I thought you were planning for possible future upgrades as well. If all you want is the HD4670, then sure, go ahead. Whether or not it's worth it to you is entirely subjective. :)

Like the Aspire 5740 that's coming with a Core i5 and Radeon HD 5650 coming out at the end of the month?
    See here.

Mobility 5650 is also not a great jump... i would recommend that u look for something in the league of ASUS G73 or Clevo WC860U series...
