On various OEM ram sticks (Samsung, Hynix, maybe others too) I see a number like 1104 or 1106 in oem Apple memory. My Lenovo memory is 1114. Does it have any significance when all other specs are the same, PC3 1333 10600, etc?

    Probably the manufacture date (1104 = 4th week of 2011, 1106 = 6th week of 2011, etc.).

Not all manufacturers datestamp based on the calendar year - some of them do it based on their fiscal year. Seagate hard drive date codes were 6 months ahead of reality, for example.
