"LED Backlight TFT Active Matrix Glossy Type"
I understand the "LED Backlight TFT" and "Glossy Type", but the rest part is a mystery to me.
P.S. This is a display description of Dell Vostro 3550. Isn't the screen of this laptop ought to be matte?

Active matrix sound like one of the terms they use to brag about their screens. Every company have its own unique name for them.

That's a good example what passive matrix was back then. Those fading effects aren't by windows, it's just slow panel...Without mouse trails the cursor would just disappear.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Vostro have been the entry level business and shared the chassis of the Inspiron at first. They only offered Matte on few of their models, most had Dell's TrueLife glossy finish.
