    What ever happened to display goggles?

    Why don't we have laptops that do away with the power hungry screens and just use display goggles?

    It is called Video Eyewear here are several companies that make them but they are quite expensive.

    I think they are just so horrible for your eyes that they never caught on.

    In Japan we have a pair going for 250$... they make it appear as if 2 m in front of you there is a 20" LCD TV there... kinda weird.. I was disoriented wearing them... I believe the main purpose is porn.

    A bit limited if you had to say, point something out on your screen to a fellow peer, or share your screen. But, I suppose it is useful for games and p0rn. Still, I would think I'd rather play my games (let's leave out the p0rn) on a huge screen, as I would be able to move my head about to look around, adding to the realism.

    ..epileptic seizures, headaches, trying to drive with optional look ahead camera, works well in a M1A, umm, trying to hide that silly grin, cost.
