    Hi,

    I need a 250-500GB hard drive to store video on. Does anyone know if there are wireless external hard drives? That would be really convenient :D If not, does anyone have any recommendations on what hard drive to get? I'm looking to go cheap.

    Thanks for any advice you might have!

    Wireless = slow

    For cheap, I'd get a docking station, preferably eSATA, or Firewire 800, if your machine supports it. Then get any 2.5" or 3.5" internal drive.

    There are routers with a usb2 port and will include any usb external drives into your wireless network. I think that's the only wireless way to do it.

    There are NAS (network-attached storage) solutions available, that are basically routers with harddrives built in, but most of them tend to be rather expensive and large (mostly in the 1TB range and up).
