    What is Penryn???

    Could someone please explain what the intel Penryn architecture is?? Is it for notebooks? When is it coming out ? Is alot different from the current not book processors?

    It's not a change in the Architecture. An upgrade from the 65nm process to the 45nm that will decrease the power consumption. It will be in the same Santa Rosa platform, and will have upgrades in the cache as well as some tweaks in the Architecture. But the quantity and the pricing is still unknown AFAIK.
