I ran a drivers diagnostic on my Sager NP9750. Results indicated no driver exists for the system interrupt controller. I looked under hardware devices on my computer and located "programmable interrupt controller." Is this the same thing? What is its function and why would the computer come without its driver? Is it a necessary componentl; should I install its driver?

Thanks in advance for answers and suggestions.
