I know that this CPU is built on the Arrandale core, and is ULV version of it, but how does it compare to the i3-330UM, the i5-520UM or the last gen SU4100?

I'm still wondering about the performance increase of this CPU compared to the SU4100...is the Arrandale architecture itself faster clock to clock to the Penryn even without turbo boost?

Was it posted already that Amazon.de lists the 1830TZ?

It costs just 521,5 EUR and is available in about 2-3 weeks.

BUT it comes with a strange processor:
"Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830TZ-U542G32N 29,4 cm (11,6 Zoll) Notebook (Intel Pentium U5400, 1,2 Ghz, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Intel HD Graphics, Windows 7 Home Premium)"

Does someone know more about that "Intel Pentium U5400"?

Also all listings are "GMA HD (IGP)", so isn't that the listing for the iX cores?

    The U4500 is a budget Core i for culv's, like the SU4100.

I find even less info on the U4500...........

I know th e i5-520um was supposed to be the 1.06 GHz part, would be sweet if these were like an i5-540um part would be like as in 1.2 Ghz................

I would think since this is a Pentium it will have a lower Turbo Boost than the Core i5-540UM, and miss some features like AES-NI.

Maybe Intel, or Acer ETC., wants to distance the UM's from the original iX cores. I think it would be a good move as they are different class of CPU's performance wise and only a UM designation instead of just M at the end could make it very confusing to general consumers.

As you said though, could be different features etc too............

Edit; there is only listed a i5-520um so I am speculating, total shot in the dark.........
