I'm just wondering what screen bleeding is because sometimes when I look at my new laptop stuff kinda sticks out at me. It's kinda like there are too many pixels on the screen. It's a 17 inch WUXGA resolution but I can see the pixels.

I would'nt say what you have is due to "screen bleeding", below explains screen bleeding:
-
Oh, I see. I guess I might not have this screen bleeding, because my problem is most noticable on bright spots. Well I guess screen bleeding isn't as much of a problem as I thought it would since the only time I would see black is if the screen is off haha.

Is this the same thing as a dead pixel?
-
no think of each pixel as sort of a shutter they are opened or closed. some screens are black when the shutters are open some when they are closed. a dead pixel is exactly that basically the shutter (pixel) is no longer functioning which causes that one to stay black looking like its dead. a stuck pixel is exactly that its simply stuck on either one or all of its 3 subpixels thus showing red, green or blue all the time.
light bleeding can be thought of as if you were sort of shining a flashlight up the screen. its a band of light sometimes very small or sometimes over half or more of the screen that is leaking through the panel around to the front and showing over the normally colored picture -

Do you know what cause's a virtical yellow line right down my screen?
-
that could be a lot of things.. the cable, the gpu, dead pixels out in a line etc..
-
Thanks everyone for explanation and video. Now that I've seen what it is I can now say I've seen this before.
